The Department makes a selection of the highest quality dissertations available for students to access for inspiration. The half-unit dissertation should be taken in Part II but in exceptional circumstances permission may be sought to take it in Part I. A second meeting to agree a title, review an outline and see an initial bibliography. It is a requirement that dissertations that are based on data directly gathered from human participants must include a statement to demonstrate that the research has been conducted in accordance with LSE ethical principles.
